Practical knowledge. Margins, terms of trade and how customers buy: things statistics do not show.
A scientific view. Technologies, standards and research that may change the market.
A business view. Risks, barriers and what the findings mean for your decision.

Which red flags matter?

These are the signals we look for. One flag does not mean fraud, but each needs an explanation before you sign:

Frequent changes of the management board or shareholders
Financial statements missing or filed late
A bank account for payment that is not on the VAT white list
Share capital of 5,000 PLN, the legal minimum, with contracts worth far more
A virtual office as the registered address
Board members or owners linked to companies that went bankrupt
A recent change of name, registered office or main activity
Entries in the register of debtors (KRZ)
Losses or negative equity for several years
A company that is very young compared with the size of the deal
Declared size that does not match revenue or headcount in the filings
Beneficial owner missing in CRBR or hidden behind foreign entities

In the report, red flags come first, each with its source.

What this does not cover

Polish Company Check is a fast check from public sources. It is not:

A legal opinion

Contracts, licences and legal risks need a law firm.

Full due diligence

We do not have access to the company’s internal documents. For an acquisition you need full due diligence.

An on-site visit

We do not visit the company’s premises or check its assets on site.

About the check

What does the check include?

The court register, financial statements for the last 3 years, beneficial owners, VAT status and bank accounts, the register of debtors, sanctions lists, related companies and Polish media. You get a short English report with red flags first.

What is the expert commentary in your reports?

Opinions from industry, scientific and business experts we choose for the topic of the project. The expert explains what is behind the figures, checks the estimates and conclusions, and says what they may mean for your decision. The commentary is part of every paid MarketHub report.

How long does it take?

48–72 hours from payment.

Is the report in English?

Yes. We read the Polish sources and write the report in English.

Can you check a sole trader (CEIDG)?

Yes, through CEIDG, although less financial data is available.

Can you check several companies at once?

Yes. Send us the list. For several companies we will confirm the deadline when you order.

Sources

Which registers do you use?

The court register (KRS) and its financial statements repository, the beneficial owners register (CRBR), the VAT white list, REGON, CEIDG, the register of debtors (KRZ), and Polish and EU sanctions lists.

What if the company has not filed its financial statements?

We say so in the report, because it is a red flag in itself. Where possible, we estimate its scale from other sources and mark the figures as estimates.

Do you check sanctions lists?

Yes, the Polish and EU sanctions lists, for the company, its board members and its owners.

Do you check beneficial owners?

Yes, in the Central Register of Beneficial Owners (CRBR), and we compare them with the shareholders in KRS.

Use

Is this a credit rating?

No. We do not give a score. An analyst reads the filings and registers that credit scores are built on, maps who owns the company and which other companies they control, and writes an opinion in plain English.

Can we use it for KYC?

The report can support your KYC file, as it lists sources for every finding. It does not replace your own obligations under anti-money laundering rules.

Will the company know it was checked?

No. We use public registers and media and do not contact the company.

Order

How do I order?

Send the company name, ideally with its KRS or NIP number, the purpose of the check and your deadline using the form below. You get an invoice, and the 48–72 hours start after payment.

What happens if you find red flags?

We call them out in the first paragraph, with the source. If you need more, we can propose a deeper check or a competitor analysis.
