Gym and fitness club market analysis in Poland: case study
When carrying out projects for our clients we use a wide variety of information and data sources. Sometimes we also generate the data ourselves by conducting primary research. Here is an example of one such project: an analysis of the fitness market in a Polish city.

Client needs
1. Verifying the profitability of an investment in fitness facilities in a Polish city
2. Examining customer potential
3. Obtaining the opinions of potential customers on the planned investment
Our solution:
The project was divided into phases carried out using different research methods. The starting point was desk research, which gave us the data and information needed to understand the specifics of the market.
At this stage we identified our client's potential competitors, segmented and profiled them, and analysed their prices. In addition, we prepared an interactive online competitor map for the client.
An important part of the report analysed the potential of the planned location. At this stage we gathered a range of quantitative data on the city and its surroundings, with particular emphasis on demographic statistics. We also obtained data and information on investments planned by the city that may have a long-term impact on our client's investment. For this part we used not only the internet but also several offline sources.
The most important element of the project, however, was a survey of local residents. We carried out primary field research. We asked respondents about their attitude to sport and their habits in this area, as well as how they rated the planned investment. Our respondents helped verify the project's assumptions, and our analysis shaped the business model our client adopted.
