Statistical data analysis

Better business growth decisions based on hard data.

What is statistical data analysis?

Statistical data analysis is a research method based on statistics: quantitative data published by statistical offices, public registers, international organisations and industry databases.

It has three stages: finding the data, harmonising it and analysing it. At MarketHub we add a fourth stage: practical conclusions and recommendations ready to implement. This way statistical data analysis gives our clients the information they need to:

develop a growth strategy matched to the pace and direction of the market,
decide on expansion into new markets, at home or abroad,
build a sales strategy that increases profits,
introduce changes, solutions or innovations that improve efficiency.

What statistical data can be obtained?

There are many databases with statistical data: Polish, European and global. Some are public and some are commercial. Not all public data can be found through search engines. With our knowledge, tools and resources, at MarketHub we can obtain or estimate even hard-to-find data, including:

market value (in PLN, EUR, USD),
market volume (in units, kilograms, tonnes),
market potential and absorption capacity,
the value and volume of imports and exports,
import and export destinations,
company and product market shares,
the trade balance.

When is statistical data analysis useful?

Statistical data is one of the basic types of information a business needs in order to:

understand the value, volume, growth and potential of a market, even several years ahead, and so decide whether it is worth investing in,
check how saturated a market is, how production value and volume are changing, and how imports and exports are developing, and so whether the market is still worth pursuing,
collect data for decisions on further strategy and direction: growth, diversification, or perhaps withdrawal from the market,
identify trends, niches and market opportunities, and then put in place a strategy that increases sales,
identify the most profitable sales destinations and choose the market segments or countries worth entering with your offer,
improve efficiency and cut costs by identifying organisational improvements or technical and production solutions that can be implemented.

We know thousands of reliable sources of statistical data, which gives us access to even hard-to-find information in as many as 9 languages.
We use professional tools to find and analyse statistical data, including databases, public registers and many commercial databases.
We build market estimates (e.g. production, sales, imports and exports) from more than just the financial statements of the largest players, which makes our analyses more reliable.

Examples from over 800 of our analyses

In our market analyses we very often use statistical data from hundreds of proven, reliable sources. Our portfolio includes projects such as:
