Expert commentary in every report
Every in-depth market analysis includes comments from industry, scientific and business experts. They comment on the findings, the forecast and the recommendations, so the report shows the figures and how people who know the Polish market judge them.
When do companies order a market analysis of Poland?
Our clients order an analysis when they face a decision that is hard to reverse and figures from the sales team and the internet are not enough.
Poland is on the shortlist
You are comparing Poland with other CEE markets and need comparable figures: market size, growth, competitors and barriers.
A distributor asks for exclusivity
A Polish distributor wants exclusive rights. Before you sign, you want to know how big the market is and who else could sell your product.
Planning a plant or warehouse
You are considering local production or a distribution centre and need demand by region and a forecast for the coming years.
Sales in Poland below plan
We check whether the whole market is shrinking or you are losing share to competitors, and in which segments.
Investment or acquisition
Before you buy a Polish company, you want to know how big its market is, how fast it grows and where the target company stands.
HQ asks for a business case
Your head office needs figures from Polish sources, not a regional average, to approve the budget.
What is an in-depth market analysis?
An in-depth market analysis is a report that answers the board’s questions before one specific decision: an investment, a product launch or entry into a new market. It shows how much the market is worth today and how much it may be worth in 3–5 years, who buys and on what criteria, what they pay, who sells and with what share, what could block entry and what all this means for your company. The figures come from public statistics, company registers, financial filings and trade data. We check them in interviews with distributors, buyers and industry experts. Every figure has a source, and the forecast has explicit assumptions in three scenarios. MarketHub has been preparing such analyses since 2006, mostly for manufacturers and B2B companies.
Compared with a syndicated report
A syndicated report from IBISWorld or a similar publisher describes a whole sector in the same way for every reader. Our analysis is written for your decision, with your segments, competitors by name, prices and recommendations.
Compared with a survey agency
A survey agency asks customers about their opinions and behaviour. We combine many sources: statistics, registers, company data and expert interviews. A survey can be added as a module.
Compared with a Market Scan
Market Scan is a ready-made PDF report on one market from our catalogue: market size, main players, trends and sources, in 3 working days. The in-depth analysis covers any market and your questions, with interviews, a forecast, a competitor map and recommendations.
Each analysis is built around one decision: whether to enter Poland, with which product and through which channel. Before we collect any data, we agree with you on the questions the report must answer and the figures your board will ask for. So the report covers your niche rather than the national total.
We size the market from Polish public statistics, company registers and financial filings, then check the figures in interviews with industry experts, usually distributors and buyers. Competitors are named: their market shares, prices and margins, the channels they sell through and where they are weak. The 3-year forecast comes in three scenarios, with the assumptions written out so you can see what drives the result.
You receive a report in English with recommendations and an online presentation of the results. If secondary data is not enough, we add a survey or focus groups. Most projects take 10 to 15 days, and we send the scope, price and timeline within 72 hours of our first call.
What makes the Polish market different?
A regional average hides what matters in Poland. In every analysis we look at these factors:
Import share and countries of origin
How much of the market is imported, from which countries and at what unit prices. This shows how strong local producers are.
Certification and standards
Which EU and Polish standards, approvals and labelling rules apply to your product, and how long they take.
Distribution structure
Who controls access to customers: wholesalers, retail chains, industry distributors or online marketplaces such as Allegro.
Public procurement
How much of the demand comes from public tenders (BZP, TED), who wins them and at what prices.
Regional differences
Poland has 16 voivodeships (regions) with different industry structures, incomes and demand. We show the market by region where data allows.
EUR/PLN exchange rate
We give amounts in EUR and PLN and show how the exchange rate affects prices and the forecast.

Timings are indicative for a project without a survey. You get the exact schedule in the quote.
What does the analysis not cover?
The analysis tells you whether and how to enter. It does not replace these advisers:
Legal advice
Contracts, distribution agreements and regulatory opinions need a law firm.
Tax advice
VAT, customs and corporate tax questions need a tax adviser.
Company registration
You set up a Polish company or branch with a law firm or an accounting firm.
Recruitment
Hiring local sales staff needs a recruitment agency.
Our report lists the questions you should bring to these advisers.
Compared with the alternatives
Not every decision needs an in-depth analysis. This is how the most common options compare:

We can add elements that answer questions where secondary data falls short. Each one is quoted separately.

An online or telephone survey of customers or buyers. We run CATI interviews ourselves and large CAWI surveys with a panel partner.
